Django Unchained has released a new TV spot mostly comprising footage we’ve already seen, but still enticing enough to keep our sense of anticipation ticking along nicely!
As with the trailers, the TV spot outlines how Django (Jamie Foxx) falls in with Dr. Shultz (Christoph Waltz) and the mission the two embark upon, before cutting to a collection of snippets of the two of them acting like total badasses.
In terms of new footage, there isn’t a huge amount on show, although watch out for an aged-up Samuel L. Jackson as house-slave Simon, who gets to deliver his first line of dialogue so far.
There’s a bit more of Kerry Washington on show here as Django’s wife, but other than that, it’s mostly things we’ve seen before. Still, we enjoyed them the first time around, so who’s complaining? And we’ve got a lot of time for Sam Jackson’s chalky white eyebrows!
Written and directed by Quentin Tarantino, Django Unchained opens in the UK on 18 January 2013. As Calvin Candie might say, it promises to be, “a good bit of fun.”
