On The Road has released a pair of new clips, in which Sam Riley’s Sal Paradise gets to know the former and current wives of his travelling buddy, Dean Moriarty (Garrett Hedlund).

The first clip shows Paradise in conversation with Marylou (Kristen Stewart), Dean’s first wife, who expresses a desire to settle down and build a life for herself. Despite her free-spirit persona, she’s tired of her wild lifestyle, and laments Dean’s lack of responsibility.

The second has Sal sharing a dance with Camille (Kirsten Dunst), Dean’s new beau, who doesn’t seem to have any more of a hold over him than his last wife.
