.. “The Lone Ranger.” Disney’s revival of the popular Western character reteams the creatives behind the “Pirates of the Caribbean” mega-franchise in director Gore Verbinski, producer Jerry Bruckheimer, writers Ted Elliot & Terry Rossio, and star Johnny Depp. The new poster (a British one, hence the August release date) sees Depp side-by-side with Armie Hammer, who plays the title character, and it’s, well, a poster. It’s also been accompanied by a very brief preview clip of the ad that will debut during the Superbowl pre-game on Sunday. “The Lone Ranger” hits on July 3rd.
