texas killing fields, or how box offices overlook thepotential of a great cast (reviews)

Sam Worthington, Jeffrey Dean Morgan, Jessica Chastain and Chloë Grace Moretz in a classic, dark crime story.

originally to be directed by Danny Boyle, who said that the film was “so dark it would never get made”. he left the project and was replaced by Ami Canaan Mann, daughter of director Michael Mann, who eventually acted as producer. The film was distributed overseas by Entertainment Film Distributors, a British company. competed in the 68th Venice International Film Festival

set in Texas bayous and actually filmed in Louisiana, always a plus.

and as a second plus, jeffrey dean morgan is one of the very few actors (along with alec baldwin) who is effectively and equally adapt (that’s the technical term for: very good and/or does not look pitched and out of place) in both film and television.

definitely worth watching.
