Everyone (almost, pity) we love from the Whedon universe is in this oh-so-promision piece. A tear of joy and melancholy from our eyes as the trailer plays:
The first trailer for “Much Ado About Nothing” has arrived and it’s eager to shake off any associations of the Bard being boring, by fizzing things up with quick cutting and scoring the promo with St. Germain‘s jazzy “Rose Rouge.” And it presents ‘Much Ado’ — starring friends and frequent collaborators Amy Acker, Alexis Denisof, Nathan Fillion, Fran Kranz, Jillian Morgese, Sean Maher, Clark Gregg and Reed Diamond — as a hip, contemporary relationship movie, albeit it one with soliloquies. But you know what? It works. “Its off-the-cuff nature makes for a film that is not flawless…but is, from beginning to end, delightful,” we wrote in our review from TIFF.
Opens on June 7th, limited release.
