Enemy is an upcoming collaboration of Jake Gyllenhaal and Denis Villeneuve, sophomore of the critically acclaimed Prisoners. Seen at TIFF by The Playlist staffers, was described as “part enigmatic existentialist thriller, part psychosexual drama” and one that is “exceptionally dark, harrowing, and especially consuming.”
Based on the novel by Jose Saramago, and co-starring Melanie Laurent, Sarah Gadot and Isabella Rosselinni, Enemy has Gyllenhaal taking on dual roles of a paranoid teacher who believes he’s found his exact doppelganger.
