Individual guilds often help paint the picture of which films are going to emerge triumphant on Oscar night. Case in point, the movie that takes home the top award at the 63rd Annual ACE Eddie Awards honoring achievements in editing likely have to be considered the frontrunner for the Academy Awards.
Nominees for the Feature Film (Dramatic) Eddie Award include Argo, Life of Pi, Lincoln, Skyfall and Zero Dark Thirty. They also break down categories for Comedy or Musical, Documentary and Animated Feature Film. Nine categories of film, television and documentaries in all are singled out. Winners will be announced during a black-tie awards ceremony hosted by David Cross on Saturday, Feb. 16.
Next week ACE is expected to announce the Golden Eddie Filmmaker of the Year honoree and two Career Achievement honorees. In the meantime, the complete list of ACE Eddie film nominees can be found below:
